Abstract: In Moscow in August 2001, an international conference was organized that was dedicated to the 100th birthday of Petr Sergeevich Novikov, an outstanding Russian mathematician. The present volume contains contributions from representatives of the scientific school of Novikov, as well as papers by other participants of this conference. The papers included in this volume relate to various fields of algebra and mathematical logic: proof theory, theory of algorithms, intuitionism, complexity of computation, etc.
The volume will be useful to mathematicians interested in topical problems of mathematical logic and algebra.
