On the necessity of the correct model of heat release for simulation of the multi-front structure of the detonation wave

Results of the simulation of the multi-headed cellular structure of the detonation wave in the diluted hydrogen-oxygen mixtures are described. The goal of the work is to assess the sensitivity of the results of the two-dimensional simulations to the parameters of the two-stage model of hydrogen-oxygen combustion, which determine chemical kinetics of the heat release. Based on the results of the simulations it is concluded, that earlier proposed modification of the two-stage model of hydrogen-oxygen combustion as well as the method of evaluation of its parameters are important and provide realistic simulation of the detonation wave structure in the diluted hydrogen-oxygen mixtures.
