Amplification of the fundamental frequency and harmonics by chemical reaction

Abstract:
An analysis is made of the possibility of constructing efficient chemically pumped amplifiers of coherent radiation. An analysis is made of the gain at the fundamental frequency and harmonics, which may be used to shorten the emission wavelength of chemical lasers with a vibrational-rotational population inversion.
