Recommendations for drawing up provisional safety rules for working with lasers

Safety rules are recommended for working with lasers. These recommendations are based on the analysis of current Soviet and foreign data on the biological effects of laser radiation and on the dangerous and safe levels of this radiation, which are worked out making allowance for the optical and physiological properties of the eye. A discussion is given of the requirements which should be satisfied by industrial buildings in which quantum-electronic devices are operated.
