Abstract: The relaxation decay of long-lived stimulated photon echo signals in a Pr3+:LaF3 crystal was found to be independent of the number of readout pulses when the area under these pulses was small. A theoretical description of this effect is provided and a good agreement between the theory and experiment is reported.
