Influence of collision anisotropy on the Raman scattering spectrum in dense gases
V. A. Alekseev, T. L. Andreeva, A. V. Malyugin
Abstract:
An investigation is made of the influence, on the Raman scattering spectrum, of collision anisotropy which occurs when a degenerate transition in a molecular gas is analyzed, allowing for translational motion of particles of comparable mass. It is found that collision anisotropy results in interference between spectral profiles corresponding to various types of scattering.
