Lasers
Spectral dynamics, intensity, and spatial characteristics of radiation from a laser with STBS/STTS mirrors and acted on by an external signal
V. I. Prots', I. P. Stavitskiĭ, M. F. Stupak
Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the dynamics of different operating regimes of a laser with two and one nonlinear mirrors utilizing stimulated Brillouin scattering (STBS) and stimulated thermal scattering (STTS). An external signal was used to switch on the nonlinear mirrors. A swept-spectrum ultrashort pulse regime was realized. The conditions for maintaining or disrupting wavefront reversal during lasing were found.
