Analytic calculation of the lowest mode of a stable resonator

Abstract:
An analytic method is proposed for an approximate calculation of the parameters of the fundamental mode of a resonator with axisymmetric aberrations. This method is highly accurate for Fresnel numbers less than 1.2.
