Virasoro amplitude from the $S^N{\mathbf R}^{24}$-orbifold sigma model

G. E. Arutyunova, S. A. Frolovab

a Steklov Mathematical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences
b Technische Universität München

Abstract: The four-tachyon scattering amplitude is derived from the $S^N{\mathbf R}^{24}$-orbifold sigma model in the large $N$ limit. The closed string interaction is described by a vertex that is a bosonic analog of the supersymmetric vertex recently proposed by Dijkgraaf, H. Verlinde, and E. Verlinde
