Characteristic features of the critical behavior of a finite-size system of complex geometry

Abstract: The paper deals with the correlation between the geometry of a finite-size system and the characteristic features of the critical behavior of this system, in particular, the shift of the critical parameters. A liquid system bounded by two coaxial cylinders is used as an example. It is demonstrated that the critical temperature shift in such a system is defined both by the thickness of interlayer between the bounding cylinders and by the radius of inner (outer) cylinder. This indicates that the critical parameters of the system depend both on the geometric dimensions and on the three-dimensional structure of the system.
