Numerical Simulation of Gasdynamic Flows Formed by an Electric Arc in an External Transverse Magnetic Field

Abstract: The results of numerical investigations of an electric arc in an external transverse magnetic field are given. The effect of external controlled discharge parameters and of the magnetic field of the electrodes on the characteristics of a flow of arc-discharge plasma is treated. Some singularities of the flow formed by an electric arc in an external transverse magnetic field are revealed.
