An experimental investigation of the enthalpy of erbium trifluoride in the solid and liquid states

Abstract: A high-temperature massive isothermal calorimeter is used for measuring the enthalpy of high-purity $ErF_3$ in the temperature range from $396$ to $1596$ K. The temperature dependences of enthalpy and heat capacity in single-phase regions are obtained, as well as the jumps of enthalpy and heat capacity under conditions of polymorphous transformation and melting. Initial experimental data are given.
