Study of supersonic flow past segmental and conical bodies with allowance for chemical reactions

Abstract: A numerical method was developed for computing three-dimensional flows past segmental and conical blunt bodies with allowance for equilibrium chemical reactions in the shock layer. The aerodynamic characteristics and flow fields were computed along the trajectory of space vehicles descending in the Martian and Terrestrial atmospheres.

Key words: simulation of gas flows, physicochemical processes in gases.
