Control of the properties of numerical grids through monitor metrics

Abstract: A universal elliptic method for grid generation based on inverted Laplace equations solved numerically for a monitor metric is described. Monitor metric formulas for generating adaptive vector-field-aligned grids are presented. Numerical examples are given.
