The International Conference "Contemporary Mathematics"
(June 8–12, 2009, Moscow–St.-Petersburg)

The International Conference "Contemporary Mathematics" will take place at Steklov Institute in Moscow on June 8–10, 2009 and in St.-Petersburg Branch of Steklov Institute in St.-Petersburg on June 12–13 2009. The scientific program of this conference will consist of a short number of invited talks (we plan to have about 15 talks altogether in Moscow and St.-Petersburg) by famous Russian and foreign mathematicians, as well as several talks by Russian outstanding young mathematicians. On June 9 (morning session) we organize The Festival of Mathematics for Youngsters. Also on June 9 (afternoon session) there will be The Discussion Round Table "Mathematics and Society".
