Holonomic systems of PDEs of hypergeometric type

Abstract:
Multidimensional hypergeometric theory is an area of mathematics that combines methods of analysis, algebra and geometry. This is both a constructive and transcendent mathematics: a hypergeometric function is a transcendent function which is encoded by a tuple of rational functions or by an ideal in the Weyl algebra. In the talk I will present new results on divisors of solutions of holonomic hypergeometric systems of PDEs, and results on their monodormy representations.
