Abstract:
In a retrospective review of the history of mathematics we touch on topics such as:
how the development of mathematical knowledge and the development of human civilization are interconnected?
how social environment and the authority had an influence on the direction of the development of mathematics?
how and when the first abstract and theoretical knowledge arose?
how and why the first abstract mathematical theories arose?
how and why the mathematical theories were born, developed and stopped its development?
what are the reasons for the socalled crises in mathematics?
We will discuss these and some other questions, and perhaps find some answers.
