Instanton decay and holomorphic surgery for vector bundles

Abstract:
I will define holomorphic surgery and give applications to decay of instantons.
Let $S$ be a sphere embedded in a 4dimensional manifold, with negative selfintersection $SS=–k$. I will show that the behavior of instanton decay and instanton moduli depends on $k$. In particular, if $k\ge 2$ decay is obstructed.
