Abstract:
This paper considers a linear autonomous differential–difference system of neutral type with lumped delays. For such systems, an output-feedback controller is proposed that simultaneously solves the finite stabilization (complete damping) problem and ensures a finite (albeit, nonarbitrary) spectrum of the closed loop system. For this controller, an existence criterion is derived and a constructive design method is presented. The distinctive feature of the controller is the absence of any distributed delay in the structure, which is important for its practical implementation. The results are illustrated by a numerical example.
