A combined approach tо factorial analysis

Abstract: For a linear normal model with a specified number of factors a technique is sug gested whereby the values of factors are expressed as measurement results. The matrix is to meet the maximal likelihood condition. The matrix is found to. be related with thebest approximations of the sample covariance matrix in the sense of uniform norm.
