Deterministic Systems
A small parameter in the problem of justifying the harmonic balance method (in the case of the filter hypothesis). I

Abstract:
Conditions are found under which the solutions obtained by the harmonic balance method for control systems with significant nonlinearity do not differ much from an accurate solution over a finite time interval. These conditions can be interpreted as justification fjor the use of the harmonic balance method for calculating nonlinear control systems.
