Abstract: То estimate the sample mean a noise-immune iterative algorithm is used with a relay function which contains a dead zone. The properties, the convergence rate, ways to choose the dead zone width and the step depending on the a priori data are studied. Theoretical and experimental data demonstrate effectiveness of relay algorithms for distributions with significant overshoots.
