Abstract: The article investigates the full utility of economic activity in a finite period of time in the case when the utility function admits with high accuracy the approximation of a linear function. The estimation of the best approximation of the utility function on the segment with a given ratio of the ends of the linear function is given.

Keywords: mathematical model, Ramsey-Kass-Koopmans problem, competitive households, maximizing total utility, analytical approximation.
