The course will show that the axiomatics of quantum mechanics leads to the emergence of a special mathematical discipline – quantum (or noncommutative) probability theory. Although this theory uses the terminology of classical probability theory, it can never be reduced to it. Nevertheless, such concepts of classical probability as events, random variables, expectation, covariance and correlations are widely used in quantum probability and make it possible to understand how these two theories are similar and how they differ in principle.
