Course by Yu. G. Prokhorov and C. A. Shramov "Algebraic surfaces"
(September 16, 2020–April 28, 2021, Steklov Mathematical Institute, Room. 530 (8 Gubkina))

The aim of this course is to give an introduction to the geometry of algebraic surfaces. The following topics will be discussed: the minimal model program for surfaces, singularities, classification of minimal models, automorphisms. Students are supposed to be familiar with basic algebraic geometry.
