Abstract:
An experimental study of silver azide luminescence under pulsed laser and electron excitation in subthreshold (without an explosion) and superthreshold (explosive) regimes is reported. The luminescence bands observed ($\approx$1.3, 1.65, and 1.87 eV) are interpreted as resulting from radiative capture of electrons by divacancies ($\approx$1.3 eV) and radiative recombination of holes with electrons trapped at differently oriented divacancies (1.65 and 1.87 eV).
