Mathematical simulation of ignition of a cloud of hydrocarbon microdrops

Abstract:
A simplified mathematical model, which is a pointwise approximation of the mathematical model of mechanics of heterogeneous mixtures of gases, solid particles, and liquid drops, is proposed to describe the ignition and combustion of similar composite gas suspensions. Based on this model, the problem of ignition of tridecane microdrops behind the front of a reflected shock wave is solved in a rather wide range of gas pressures behind the front of the reflected shock wave.
