Effect of exothermic and endothermic processes on the location of the transition point in high-temperature jets and wakes

Abstract:
The possibility of controlling the location of the point of laminar-turbulent transition in high-temperature jets and wakes with the use of exothermic and endothermic physicochemical processes is studied. Criteria of similarity are proposed. Numerical calculations of hypersonic far wakes are performed, which illustrate the effect of these processes on flow parameters.
