Laser ignition of nickel-aluminum powder systems

Abstract:
A method for determining the thermokinetic constants of the SHS reaction and thermophysical properties of the initial mixture and reaction products involving the use of laser initiation of the reactive mixture has been developed. A technique for experimentally studying the ignition process of the reacting mixture is described.
