Ignition of a wedge and cone with isothermal base by means of a heat flux

Abstract:
We have carried out a numerical analysis of the ignition by a constant heat flux of a wedge and cone of finite length with a base maintained at a constant temperature. We have determined the critical condition under which the existence of steady temperature distribution through the body in various heating regimes is impossible.
