Features of H$_2$O adsorption on a polar surfaces of LiNbO$_3$ crystals

A. V. Yatsenko

V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, Simferopol, Russia
Abstract: The features of the surface electrical conductivity of a series of LiNbO$_3$ crystals of different compositions are studied. It is shown that when the crystals are cooled, H$_2$O molecules are adsorbed and dissociated on their polar surfaces, and the intensity of this process depends on the unipolarity of the sample.
Keywords: lithium niobate, electrical conductivity, adsorption, H$_2$O.
