Exchange coupling of a BiFeO$_3$ multiferroic nanolayer with a Co$_{0.9}$Fe$_{0.1}$ ferromagnetic nanolayer

Abstract:
Distortions of magnetic parameters near the interface between the layers and energies of interlayer exchange interaction have been calculated for two possible variants of the lattice matching between the nanolayers of BiFeO$_3$ multiferroic and Co$_{0.9}$Fe$_{0.1}$ ferromagnet. These energies have been compared with the energy of single-ion anisotropy induced in the ferromagnet due to the magnetostriction during the elastic interaction between the layers.
