Application of the TSW method for analyzing thermal characteristics of germanium

Abstract:
The possibility of applying a pyroelectric method, namely, the thermal square wave method at single frequency, for analyzing thermal characteristics of bulk nonferroelectric materials has been demonstrated. Polycrystalline and $n$-type single-crystal germanium samples doped with antimony to 3.7 $\cdot$ 10$^{14}$ cm$^{-3}$ have been studied. The dependences of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity on the crystallographic direction have been determined.
