Abstract:
Modern experimental data on the temperature-time dependence of the spall strength of aluminum have been generalized. These data have been compared with measurements of the durability of aluminum and interpreted in the framework of the kinetic concept of the strength of solids. The temperature-time dependence of the strength of aluminum in the time range of 10$^5$–10$^{-11}$ s has been presented.
