Dislocation model for the behavior of fractal dimension of the microstructure of a strained solid

Abstract:
A single-parameter model describing the behavior of fractal dimension of the structure of a deformed solid in a wide range of strains in terms of nonequilibrium thermodynamics has been proposed based on the analysis of dislocation kinetics. Comparison with the literature and own experimental data has been presented, which gives evidence in favor of the proposed model.
