Abstract:
This paper introduces 2D barcode recognition technique based on calculating the distance between given barcode image and “ideal” pattern. As the most effective approach in this area, an algorithm based on Fast Generalized Hough Transform is suggested. Several improvements of the given algorithm are discussed, leading to lower memory requirements and boosted speed. At last, proposed approach is compared with a classical barcode decoder.
Keywords:
generative recognition, barcode recognition, generalized Hough transform.
