The Editorial Board announces with deep sorrow that

Elena Ivanovna Ivannikova

passed away on 31 March, 2025.

For more than twenty years, Elena Ivanovna was the managing editor of our journal. Her dedication to Izvestia, attentive and kind attitude towards the authors brought Elena Ivanovna the respect and appreciation of all those who participated in the work on the journal.

We express our sincere condolences to her family and friends.
