The use of multi-agent systems in management problems for medical institution

The article provides an analytical overview of the three approaches types to the use of multi-agent systems in medical institutions: in the 1st type approach publications are abstracted from the specific treatment process features in the various hospital types. The final goal of the 2nd type approach publications is the application of multi-agent system for operative treatment process planning in real the hospitals, and it is thought of as an interactive environment, allowing to work in real time, when the diagnosis, the condition of the patient determination, etc. remains with the doctors, as agents take on a formal job that does not require medical qualification. In the 3rd type approach publications the multi-agent structure is used to build a particular hospital simulation model, which accurately reproduced the organizational hospital structure, available resources, the departments interaction mechanism during the treatment process and the real statistical characteristics of the patients flow.
