The concept of functioning of the unified industrial
and energy system in mountain areas

Abstract:
The paper deals with the development of a concept for the effective functioning of renewable energy
sources in mountainous areas. It has been established that the most promising energy sources are solar,
wind and hydroelectric power plants. The calculation of the choice of solar poweris presented. The assessment of the wind energy potential of RNO-Alania with the distribution of average annual wind speeds
in the regions of the republic is given. The wind rose was built for the locality in which the projected wind
power plant is located. The scientific and technical bases for the calculation and management of hydroelectric power stations, reflecting the specific conditions of the mountainous terrain, are presented.
