Abstract:
Nonmonotonic pressure dependences of the electric polarization and coercive field, as well as the role of topological defects, have been studied in multiferroic-semiconductor CuCrO$_2$, in which antiparallel domains in the ferroelectric phase are possible in the presence of free charge carriers. The chirality of the domains is strictly related to their polarization.
