Calorimetric study of Al–$x$Si–2 wt% Cu silumin with 15, 17 and 20 wt% silicon

Abstract: Effect of a solidification rate and silicon content on aluminum silicon eutectic and intermetallic phase of Al–Si–Cu-alloys by differential scanning calorimetry is studied. Ultimate tensile strength of the alloy is analyzed on the base of observed microstructure and volumes of phases, estimated from the measured values of the melting enthalpy.
