Effect of random potential on the optical properties of the CdS$_x$Se$_{1-x}$ semiconductor nanocrystals

Abstract:
CdS$_x$Se$_{1-x}$ semiconductor crystals in silicate glass with different degrees of perfection of crystal-line lattice are fabricated. The spectral features of the optical transmittance and photoluminescence at the initial stage of the heat treatment cannot be interpreted using only the diffusion growth of nanocrystals. Structural defects of nanocrystals must be taken into account at the initial stage of the crystal growth.
