Quantum corrections to the momentum distribution in a laser plasma

Abstract:
The evolution of the momentum distribution of particles in a nonrelativistic laser plasma is studied in the context of the kinetic theory of plasma based on the construction of propagators for the plasma particle distribution functions. Damping of plasma waves and induced braking absorption accelerate particles in a plasma. Quantum indeterminacy in energy, which is associated with the interaction of particles with plasma waves and their collisions with one another, also affects their momentum distribution. In the semiclassical approximation, general analytic expressions are obtained for the momentum distribution functions.
