Classification of liquid electrodispersion regimes

Abstract: Semiphenomenological classification of liquid electrodispersion modes is suggested. It takes into account the capillary and electrostatic disintegrations of a charge-carrying jet, as well as its flexural behavior, when the zeroth, first, and second azimuthal modes are excited. The stabilizing influence of a uniform external electrostatic field and the destabilizing influence of an external material medium are also included.
