Effect of the conductor radius on the electric explosion dynamics: Magnetohydrodynamic simulation

Abstract:
The effect of the conductor radius on the electric explosion dynamics and on the rate of current break in the circuit is studied by magnetohydrodynamic computations. It is shown that other conditions being the same, the characteristic time of current break tends to a certain minimal value.
