Abstract: Synthesis of polyester using (dodec-2-enyl)succinic anhydride and renewable glycerol was carried out to produce a polymer with controlled functionality. Conventional (hot plate) heating was found suitable to obtain oligomers, while the microwave heating was useful only at the first step of the process.
