Abstract: The present review covers applications of metal organic frame-works (MOFs) in sensors. Particular attention is paid to gas sensors, since MOFs have demonstrated a good selectivity towards the adsorption of gas molecules. The applications of MOFs as pre-concentrators of the compounds to be analyzed are also outlined. Two modes of operation can be used in the considered sensors: photoluminescent and electrochemical ones.
