Abstract: ansa-Complex O[SiMe₂(η⁵-C₅H₄)]₂ZrCl₂ upon reduction with LiAlH₄ in contrast to zirconocene dichloride forms a dia-magnetic Zr^III complex with the dimeric molecular structure proved by X-ray analysis. This complex after activation by MeAlO initiates oligomerization of α-olefins.
