Abstract: Detected by the in situ EPR spectroscopy immobilized nitro radical anions generated in the course of Au/Al2O3-catalyzed nitrobenzene hydrogenation demonstrate the abnormal hyper-fine splitting and serve as intermediates of the reaction.
