Abstract: New olefin metathesis catalysts, unsaturated analogues of the Grubbs II and Hoveyda–Grubbs II ones, bearing bulky (alkoxy)hexafluoroisopropyl groups in one of the aryl substituent of NHC ligand provide high conversions in model ring closing metathesis of diallyl- and allylmethallylmalonates.
